Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all. Wishing for a more peaceful and harmonious planet.

As Saturn takes control in Capricorn this year we may all be feeling a bit more responsible towards our planet, clean air, clean water, and good natural food not genetically modified by science for longer shelf life.

What a mess we have allowed our politicians to make, and forced onto our children and grandchildren to fix. Between now and the upcoming conjunction of Saturn: (responsibility, integrity, duty) and Pluto: (honesty, unavoidable change, exposure of secrets) due in 2020, we must find the answer and act on it.

Time is running out—there is no planet-B. Just like “Puff” the magic dragon, we too could be extinct as suddenly as the dinosaurs if we allow the toxins and chemicals to build and burn through our planet’s protective outer layer.

This conjunction will force the exposure of corruption and abuse of power in governments and big businesses. It’s up to all of us to insist on the changes that must happen to transform how we live, or, we won’t survive. The planet will make the necessary changes to allow her to continue—without us.

I see the older generation, my generation, shudder at the thought of making life more difficult, or expensive. I see the changes that must happen coming from our young people who see their future, or lack of it, if we don’t find other ways to survive. They have the technology and education to explore these avenues. We should allow them to take the lead. They are young and passionate about their planet in ways we older people don’t see.

All is not lost yet, as this upcoming conjunction approaches, already some sinister secrets are coming to light, and, more to follow. Change is upon us all. If we don’t make it, the planet will do so for us. Be the change you want to see in our society. We each can do a little—the whole will count. The planets are showing us the need and necessity. It’s up to us to heed the warning signs: wild fires, storms, tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, high tides and more. We need to pay attention and take action.

On a personal note, I am still waiting for a reply to my third pitch/submission to another London based company to find an Agent to represent my writing. I have written the one in Ireland off, as it is now too long ago to hope to hear from them. Onwards and upwards! I have yet one more company lined up just in case—a local company based in Canada. It’s no wonder why some writers turn to self-publishing. The waiting game is hard, more so at my age. However I have exhausted the self-publishing route over the years and myself in the process. I need to find an Agent who knows the world of books, marketing and publishing better than I do. Keep your fingers crossed I find the right one to help me on my path.
