Trump - What Does Astrology Tell Us?

January 28, 2018

Donald Trump - the man we love or hate, or love to hate? A conundrum, hypocrite, fraud…or is he as confused as we are by his behaviour? My knowledge of astrology is limited. Yet, his birth chart may help to explain some of his personality contradictions.

His sun sign is Gemini, ruled by Mercury. Gemini is the sign of the twins, so duality…and double the nervous energy of a single person. Gemini is sometimes referred to as being ‘two-faced’ because of the double energy of the Twins. They have the ability to see two sides of the same argument. These people tend to do things in haste, speak fast and change their minds often. They are dancers, trade dealers, and do well in marketing. They love the chase, and lose interest when the end result is obvious.

Mercury is the messenger of the gods. He flits from one to another delivering messages and picking up the latest gossip. He shows no loyalty and is more interested in what’s going on and what deals are being made. He speeds around the zodiac fast. From time to time, he moves backwards-- Retrograde, causing chaos and confusion to all. During Retrograde times mail gets lost, messages get reported inaccurately, causing confusion. Electrical machinery and gadgets tend to break down, and computers go awry. If anything can go wrong, it will, during Mercury retrograde.

In Mythology, Mercury is the planet of day-to-day expression and communication. It rules communication, and, represents coordination, movement, travelers, transportation, thieves, and tricksters. Mercury governs anything to do with exchange of information.

As if this isn’t enough to confuse, Mr Trump’s moon is in the opposite sign of his sun--Sagittarius. The moon rules the emotions and the ebb and flow of moods from day to day, as it does the tides and liquids in the body. Some people with this placement are prone to water retention.

In Sagittarius the moon expression is one of freedom, openness, both in speech and action. These people love to travel and don’t like to stay in one place for long periods of time. They get the itch to move on and lose interest if things don’t go according to their plan. They can also be prone to ‘foot in mouth’ disorder, and say things that they later regret. However, they refuse to admit they were wrong.

Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter, is the planet of good luck and expansion, both of the mind, and, the waistline. These people are prone to weight gain their life long. They may find their waistline expanded in later years. They love to walk. Exercise and sports gives them an outlet to rid themselves of excess Jupiter energy.

Sagittarius Moon people are great optimists. But with the opposing Sun in Gemini, they are prone to pick up their toys and go home when things don’t go their way.  Often he can’t decide but once he does he will not change his mind.

Mr Trump has some contradictory mood swings to deal with. We should send him loving guidance for he certainly needs it in his day-to-day work.
